Wedding Photography FAQs
Do you take any formal photographs?
Most of our couples still want a limited number of group shots and we ask you to provide us with a list. Please remember though that the more of these shots you request the less time you will have to spend with your guests.
How many photographers will be at our wedding?
Mark and Sam always photograph together on your wedding day to ensure that you receive really thorough coverage.
Do you visit our wedding venue before our wedding day?
If we have not photographed at your wedding venue before we will always visit prior to your wedding day, normally meeting you there to discuss your ideas and plans.
Do you use digital cameras?
No, as professionals we still believe that film offers superior quality. When our films are processed the negatives are scanned giving us the best of both worlds and enabling us to upload your pictures to our website for friends and family to see.
How many colour, black and white and sepia pictures do we get?
Unless you advise us otherwise we prefer to shoot all your images on colour film enabling maximum flexibility. All pictures can then be printed in colour, black and white or sepia. When you see your digital presentation we will show your images in a mixture of colours according to your preferences, but we can show you the same picture in colour, black and white and sepia on our screen should you wish.
How many pictures do we get to choose from?
If you opt for our normal coverage (commencing with bride’s preparations through to commencement of your wedding breakfast) we shoot around 200 images from which you can make your selections. Alternatively you can opt for our complete package.
How do we get to see our wedding pictures?
Unless you opt for our complete package you will be invited to relive your wedding day at a big screen digital presentation. This enables you to see all the pictures clearly, view the same picture in different colours and make your selections.
If you would prefer to receive proof prints this service is available, please discuss this with us.
Whichever package you choose your wedding pictures are uploaded to our website. You will be given a password enabling you, your friends and family to view your wedding day story.
If you choose our complete package you will not have to make any selections, instead the pictures are edited* and used in the design of your chosen wedding album.
* edited – some pictures will not be used in your album. The editing process removes pictures deemed inappropriate to the design and content of your album. These usually consist of duplicates, blinks etc.
Can guests order pictures?
Your guests can view your wedding pictures on our website and can place orders over the net via secure server or with cheque payment by post.
What happens if you are taken ill and cannot photograph our wedding?
In the unlikely event that Mark is seriously ill and unable to attend your wedding, being members of the Fuji Envisage group and the Master Photographers Association we will secure the services of another photographer of a similar style to attend. If Sam is ill Mark will attend unaccompanied or with another assistant.
How do we receive our finished wedding album?
When your album is ready we will telephone you and arrange a time for you to collect it. Alternatively we can forward it to you by post or courier. This service will be charged to you at cost.
